COVID-19 has shifted a lot of aspects of people’s day-to-day lives. People are now trying to balance how to remain safe while navigating back to a sense of normalcy.

Meet Guadalupe Roman, a sophomore at SMU. She is currently the Advocacy Chair for the Period Project and a Student Assistant for the Dedman College Office of Diversity & Inclusion.

Her first year on campus was during the year SMU integrated a hybrid class system—rotating in-person and zoom classes. Guadalupe shares how Zoom University and COVID-19 impacted the social atmosphere of SMU.
