I enjoyed having the freedom to take a picture of anything. I didn’t have much planned for Fall Break; my ultimate goals were to relax and try a new recipe. I was in my room most of the break, and when I wasn’t in my room, I couldn’t find any people to take pictures. So, I was happy when my friend Drishti Sachdeva wanted to grab lunch the last day of break.
Her apartment complex had many interesting areas to take photos of, but my favorite was the Sky Deck. I am disappointed that I was unable to share the picture I took of the mural painted on one of the walls of the Sky Deck. The mural was of the word “mockingbird” and each letter contained an image related to Dallas. It was hard shooting the mural because it expanded horizontally, and I could not step back enough to get the full mural in frame. There were also items like a grill/island and a seating area that cut off the bottom of the mural, which impacted my close-up shots.
I think the photo of the skyline was the most fun. I really had to position in a way that captured both the frame and skyline. I found it easier to adjust the exposure since it was a bit gloomy and cloudy outside.
